In support of the Australian bushfires
We are pleased to announce that we have raised over a thousand pounds in support of charities helping wildlife affected by the fires in Australia.
Throughout January, we sought to donate proceeds of all sales from oat milk flat whites at our Northgate Street shop – we’re incredibly grateful for the support, with many of you even switching your regular orders to oat milk flat whites to help – including some devout tea drinkers!
Our reasoning for this was to acknowledge the impact of our choices and how they may affect the environment. A glass of dairy milk produces up to three times more greenhouse gas emissions than any plant-based alternative*.
Whilst the source of the fires may not have been initially started as a result of climate change, the drastic rise in temperatures are a devastating contributor to its prolonged damage.
The charities we aim to help are WIRES Wildlife Rescue and Wildlife Victoria – should you wish to make a donation, please follow the links on their respective websites.
